A scientist by training and a caregiver by circumstance — now an advocate for every family learning to breathe through a diagnosis.
Aurita Antao Menezes, PhD
Aurita Antao Menezes holds a PhD in microbiology and immunology. When her husband Jeevan was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, she became an advocate for families facing the same path. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her children, Jaden and Alanis.
"I wrote Breathing Through Cancer because I needed this book and couldn't find it. Science taught me how cancer behaves in a lab. Life taught me how it behaves in a family. If you're facing this storm, I hope these pages steady you, guide you, and remind you that you don't have to walk through it alone."
Available for conferences, hospitals, support groups, nonprofits, and community events.
